For PhD Students
PhD is an educational and simultaneously the first scientific degree, which can be obtained at the third level of higher education. The prerequisites for the program entry are the Master's degree or the Specialist degree. The training of PhD students is conducted in two forms: full-time and distance, period of study - 4 years (8 terms).
The aim of the PhD program is the development of general and professional competences in order to train scientists of the highest qualification working in various research areas of mathematics capable of the production and the proof of new results, doing novel theoretical research at national and international levels.

Advisory service for certification of applicants for scientific degrees
For Applicants.
The admission to PhD studies on a competitive basis is open for applicants who obtained a Master's degree, as a rule in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
Applicants possessing the Master's degree in other areas may be admitted to the entry examination at the basis of the decision of the Selection Committee. For such applicants an additional Preliminary Entry Examination in Mathematics is scheduled. In case of passing the Preliminary Entry Examination in Mathematics an applicant is allowed to take part in further entry competition on a general basis.
